Mission operations
Your entire mission in one session
From AOS to LOS — satellite tracking (TT&C), live spectrum observation, command dispatch, pass scheduling, recording retrieval, and post-pass review are all accessible from the Orbitalink operator application.

What you get
Mission operations capabilities
Satellite tracking
Live azimuth, elevation, Doppler shift, altitude, and orbit number at 1 Hz — pushed directly from the field unit.
Pass scheduling
Upcoming passes with AOS, LOS, max elevation, frequency, and duration. TLE (Two-Line Element) sources managed and refreshable.
Live telemetry
RSSI, SNR, demodulator state, forwarding state, capture stats, and system health — streamed continuously during the pass.
Spectrum observation
Real-time FFT waterfall and spectrum analyser fed directly from the SDR (Software Defined Radio) on the field unit.
Command dispatch
Issue gain adjustments, polarization changes, TLE updates, observation cancellations, and pass control commands with ack confirmation.
Recording and decoding
Capture IQ recordings, trigger packet decode, and retrieve decoder results from the operator application immediately after LOS.
Event log
Every significant event — connection, decode, command, error — logged with timestamp and surfaced in the monitoring panel.
Alerts
Heartbeat watchdog detects stale telemetry within 15 seconds and transitions the station to an offline state with a visible indicator.
Command safety
Safe-by-default controls
Write-capable commands are separated from read-only telemetry at the UI and socket layers. Feature flags gate hardware-specific commands so operators only see controls their station physically supports. Tenant scoping blocks cross-organisation command injection.
